Our History

CRN Wireless has a long history of leadership and innovation in the wireless communications industry. In 1985, CRN Wireless designed and constructed the NearNet network, one of the largest proprietary UHF tower networks in the country dedicated to the transmission and processing of wireless security alarm signals. The NearNet tower network services the New York City Metro area and its population of 19 million people.

In addition to its own NearNet network, CRN Wireless began designing and building UHF tower networks for customers around the globe. As the UHF business continued to grow, CRN Wireless launched its AlarmPath security division, in order to take advantage of the rapidly growing cellular networks being deployed by telecom companies.

Over time, CRN Wireless built upon its core security alarm business by adding other products and services that took advantage of the company’s expertise in wireless monitoring. Learn more.
