Long Range Radio Remote Control System

The CRN Long Range Radio Remote Control System is intended to be used in applications requiring control of 1 to 999,999 points. A fully modular hardware design and software encoder and decoder programming allows the user to create the operating conditions just right for their application. A full range of input capabilities may be chosen from maintained or momentary normally open, normally closed, or voltage triggers. Output capabilities of maintained, momentary, or continuously refreshed 2 sets of 2amp DPDT relay contacts.

A simplex system (one-way) provides for a one-way path from the originating end to the destination end. This would consist of a CRN8D or a CRN8E transmitter encoder at the originating location and a CRN8D receiver decoder at the destination location. The transmitter encoder and receiver decoder are powered by a UL listed plug-in low voltage transformer, and a built in power supply/charging circuit charges an optional rechargeable battery used for power back-up if desired. A single decode point is standard with the CRN8D. Expansion to eight points with S1515 decode modules and then expansion in multiple of eight points for a total of 999,999 points. Each point has two 2 amp form "C"(DPDT) relay contacts for connection to external devices.

CRN8D FEATURES

A duplex system (two-way) provides for one path from the originating location to the destination location and another path from the destination location to the originating location. Use this type of a system for confirmation or acknowledgement of a transmission or any time information is passed in both directions. In a duplex system, both ends are originating and destinations. A typical duplex remote control system would consist of a CRN8D encoder/decoder at each location.

An internal clock allows for updating of path information every few seconds. The system can be programmed for fail safe operation such that an interruption in the radio path will return the output relays to their normal state.

The unit is housed in a 19 gauge 11" x 15" x 4" steel cabinet with key operated cam lock. There is sufficient room to house up to 16 zones, a rechargeable battery and RF recevier and RF transmitter for a duplex system.
