NearNet Technology

NearNet is a UHF point-to-point radio network supported by our extensive radio coverage network. A seamless connection from the subscriber’s alarm control panel enables reporting of critical alarm conditions to ANY central station. With NearNet the alarm signal gets through over the air regardless of telephone line status. NearNet uses the CRN Proprietary Wireless Network that enables NearNet fixed point-to-point radio transmitting devices to send wireless alarm data signals to the CRN Network Operations Center (NOC). The NOC collects the encrypted wireless signals, instantly decodes those signals and routes them to a pre-determined recipient designated by our customer, such as a central monitoring station.Information transferred from the signaling device through the NOC to the recipient is completed in seconds; at faster speeds than signals sent over ordinary telephone connections. Wireless connectivity is more reliable, more secure and provides an additional safety factor: the signal gets through without concern over damaged or cut telephone lines.
